Church Initiatives

  • Artesia-in-Action
    Begun in early 2011. The vision of our growing partnership is to bring restoration & hope to the community by building partnerships between churches, businesses, residents, & city government.  Our first project involved cleaning up a property that had been a hub of trouble in northern Artesia.  We look forward to more service projects, building relationships and coming alongside community leaders to forward their hopes for their own neighborhood.  Contact Brenna at brennar@nl-cc.org, for more information and to get involved.

  • Athletic Opportunities
    • Badminton  - This group associated with NLIF (New Life Indonesian Fellowship) meets every Sunday from 2 to 6 pm in the Gym in the Activity Center.
    • Basketball - All ages and levels of talent are invited to come and play. Bring some old friends, make some new friends! Open gym & league play regularly organized. For more information, contact Hsin at hchou@panenv.com or 562.921.9380.
    • Hiking -
      • A group made up primarily of retired gents, usually getting out into nature on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.  For more information, contact Dave Carlson at davidacarlson@att.net or 562.630.3423.
      • A group meeting on the first Saturday of each month and enjoying potluck/fellowship/bible studies on the third Saturday of each month.  For more information, contact Karen at Kshui@panenv.com or 562.921.9380.
    • Ping Pong - This group associated with NLIF meets every Sunday in D106 in the Activity Center from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.

  • Community Food Distribution
    • Saturdays 9:30-11:00 am / los sábados, 9:30-11:00 am
    • No prior registration necessary / No se necesita registrarse antemano

  • Tutoring

Elementary School Students - Trained volunteers ministering to families and kids through one-on-one educational support for struggling students.  The modest fee charged will help us reach out and serve local schools.  Get more information here.

High School Students - Math tutoring provided by teacher Dave Carlson. Contact Dave for an appointment between 3-9 pm on Wednesdays, davidacarlson@att.net.
