Generosity Team
The reality is, God has given the gift of ‘giving’ to some people, some call it generosity. We believe that while God calls us all to give, there are some particular people who are able to bless others with their gifts to benefit the body of Christ. We also know that our giving changes according to our seasons of life.
The Generosity Team is a group of God’s people who are willing to give above and beyond their normal tithe to help with improvement projects or ministries to New Life Community Church. The Generosity Team has been an avenue to partner with God in some exciting ways.
Here are some frequently asked questions about the Generosity Team:
How often will I be asked to give?
Four times a year.
How much will I be asked to give?
$500 each time
Will others know I’m on this team?
No, only our Lead Pastor and those who work in our accounting department.
Who decides on the projects?
Although not exclusively, projects are usually decided by the Lead Pastor, the Equipping Team or ministry directors.
If I wanted to repair something, add something or change something can I give to make that project happen?
The IRS frowns of giving with strings attached. If the staff or Board approve a project that needs additional assistance from the Generosity Team, the Lead Pastor will communicate that need/project to the Generosity Team and you can give to that project.
What type of projects has the team helped with in the past?
The chapel renovations, carpet replacement, painting, landscaping, signs, patio improvements, etc.
How soon do I need to donate for a project?
Normally most projects are on a time frame, so usually within two weeks.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
