Pastor for Youth

Josh Lunde-Whitler

Josh received his Masters of Divinity (M.Div) from Fuller Theological Seminary in December of 2007 and is currently working towards full ordination in the RCA (Reformed Church in America) as a Minister of Word and Sacrament.  Before coming to New Life (October 2007), he was been involved in ministry in the Pasadena area, as both a pastor to young adults and to the city’s homeless, and as a hospital chaplain intern. Throughout college (B.A. from Texas A&M in 2004) he worked with youth and young adults through involvement in campus ministry and three years as a camp counselor.
Josh currently lives in Cerritos with his wife Amy (New Life's Pastor to Children and Families).  He plays piano and guitar; he loves art, hiking, and talking all things sports - or theology-related, and he is an avid “Ultimate Frisbee” player when he gets the chance to play.

Tuesday De-Tox

A time for students from 7-12 grade to relax, hang, chill, "re-coup" and so on and so forth.  Board/video games, pool, foosball, darts, and hangout followed by a time to be with God and rest in Him.  Come to the "Upper Room" (the Game Room) at 7pm.

Micah Groups

Come on Sunday nights for dinner and fun with friends followed by a chance to talk about things that matter...like God, faith, friends, purpose, sex, movies, the poor, etc., etc.  We'll be in the Chapel (by the Gym) in the Activity Center starting at 6pm (subject to change).

Micah groups are for both junior and senior high.  (7th-12th) We will start off as one big group for a communication starting-activity/video and then split into “age-appropriate” small groups for further discussion.

VAST

The Think Tank was created to provide prayerful support, share vision, and help plan the calendar for the NLCC Youth.  If you are interested in what's happening with the Junior and Senior High School Youth, you are encouraged to come and sit in.
