The Foundation
1. God intervenes divinely in people’s lives to bring about healing – physical, emotional and spiritual. Exodus 15:22: “ . . . for I am the Lord who heals you.”
2. Jesus has given us the authority to heal and deliver others: “Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness” (Matthew 10:1)
3. The Holy Spirit guides us in the process of healing: how and when to pray for healing.
4. Forgiveness is crucial to healing, both the need to forgive others and to receive forgiveness for one’s own sins through confession. James 5:16: “Confess your sins to each other so that you may be healed.”
5. Powers of darkness are real and influence people’s lives in adverse ways. Ephesians 6:12: “For our struggle is . . . against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

The Practices
◊ Roots
In our ministry we seek to deal with the roots of the problem or symptoms.
◊ Relationships
Our present emotional struggles usually have roots in unhealed and unforgiven hurts, including those that occurred in our past. It is our goal to bring about healing and restoration in these areas.
◊ Memories
We find often the best way to the roots is to ask Jesus to bring to mind a key memory or incident that is contributing to the present problem. We encourage people to picture these memories in order to recognize Jesus’ presence in them. It is our experience that seeing Jesus by faith has been a tremendous tool of healing grace.
◊ Freedom
Past wounds, abuse, neglect, abandonment, sin or unforgiveness may have opened a person up to spiritual oppression. When these strongholds disintegrate, release from oppression is easier.
The Results
Through our prayer ministry people usually discover a deeper relationship with Jesus.
We have found that prayer ministry often brings healing in the body, mind, emotions and spirit. The extent and nature of this healing vary from person to person and may take time. God is sovereign in the healing process.
Our prayer ministry can bring freedom from hurts of the past and the power that is often tied to them.
