Discipleship Hour Classes- 10:30am
We are excited to introduce Kid Connection as our new curriculum for the 2008-2009 school year. Kid Connection is designed to help create connections between the church and the home, children and God, as well as the church and the community. Elementary school children will explore the same lesson through age-appropriate activities and discussion. Classes end at 11:30. Please be prompt in picking up your child.
Curriculum and music, all grade levels meet in appropriate rooms:
Preschool B108
K-1st grades B109
2nd-3rd grades B110
4, 5 & 6th grades B205 (upstairs)
If you are late, please take your child directly there. Parents of children up to 3rd grade need to sign in your child in their classroom.
Classes begin at 10:30am. Please be prompt.
Adults are responsible for picking up their children from all programs up to 5th grade. Please wait outside the classroom doors until one of the leaders opens the door.
Children's Church - 9:00am
Our Children's Church meets during our 9A worship hour and is available for children thru the 2nd grade.
Preschool (3-5 year olds) - B108
Children who are preschool aged to 3+ are invited to begin their morning worship before the 9A service. Please feel free to drop your child off in B108 before the service begins.
Kindergarten thru 2nd Grade - B109
If your child is in K-2nd grades, they have an opportunity to participate in our morning worship service before attending class. After the Children's message, your child can meet their teacher in the back of the sanctuary. Their class is held in Room B109. All children should be picked up promptly after the service.
Nursery
Our trained nursery ministry volunteers are present at both 9:00 and 10:30 services. Infants to 2 year olds are cared for while families are in worship or a Sunday class.
Families are provided with a beeper in the event the parent is needed.
Children cared for in the Nursery need to be with family during the Fellowship Time (from 10:00 to 10:30) as Nursery volunteers are in transition between services.
M.O.P.S. - Mothers of Preschoolers
M.O.P.S. is a program designed for mothers with children under the age of 5. Women are all ages and backgrounds, but they share the same desire - to be the best mothers they can be.
The typical meeting consists of eating, socializing, making crafts and listening to a speaker. Speakers topics range from parenting concerns to personal development issues. During the course of the morning, there is a lot of talking, laughing, eating and sharing of the frustrations and joys of motherhood.
Children are cared for in a parallel program called Moppets where they experience love in a preschool like setting adjacent to the Fireside Room where the mothers meet from 9:30-11:30am.
The first visit to M.O.P.S. is free.
$40 for first semester (September-December) and $60 for the second (January-June). The program follows the school schedule with a break for summer.
