God’s kingdom is so much bigger than just Artesia, Cerritos and this local area. The whole earth is His and God’s family includes people from all races, cultures and countries. In fact, this is the very beauty of God’s diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural Church. At New Life, global outreach is aimed at building strategic relationships to reach specific regions of the world with God’s transforming love.
New Life Community Church Indonesian Ministry (NLCC Indonesian) supports mission work in Papua, Medan, and Pulau Guntung through HELP Indonesia.
HELP Indonesia stands for Hope, Equality, Love and Prayer for Indonesia. The focus is to help Indonesian children who have lost their parents and are unable to get education.
It focuses on Indonesian poverty and education, sharing Christ’s love in providing orphaned and less fortunate children with food, shelter, medical treatment and education in a safe and loving environment. The vision is to bring healing to hurting communities in Indonesia by providing assistance in health, education, social and economic development to rebuild these communities into self-sustaining entities.

How You Can Get Involved with HELP Indonesia?
We believe that the power of prayer manifests toward our mission. We ask that you pray for the continuation and expansion of our mission. There are still many children and lost souls in Indonesia who need our help and the love of Christ in their lives.
You have the opportunity to essentially adopt one or more of our missions in a form of recurring monthly donation through New Life Community Church. 100% of your donation will be directed toward the mission and we will provide accountability reports from each of the missionary subjects we are focusing on.
Special Mission Offering
In addition to the monthly donation, we also encourage you to donate whenever and whatever amount you desire through New Life Community Church. Please be sure to note that your offering or donation is to be directed toward ‘Help Indonesia’.
Annual Mission Night Event
Each year since 2007, HELP Indonesia has been holding their annual Mission Night Event for the purpose of raising funds for the missionary subjects of the year. The event over the years has raised over $75,000. Once again, 100% of the funds collected during these events are donated to the specific missionary subjects. The 2016 Mission Night Event will be the first of the event to be held in partnership with New Life Community Church. For details, click here.
HELP Indonesia holds a Christmas service where the offerings collected are donated to the Indonesian Evangelical Mission Churches (GMII) to help build pastoral houses and churches in rural and remote areas. Historically, our Christmas service offering has helped built two pastoral houses in East Sumba, a small church in West Kalimantan, and another pastoral house in West Sulawesi. Our close relationship with GMII is due because Pastor Ricky Lomban, who is the Pastor of the NLCC Indonesian Ministry, first started his pastoral service with GMII/IEMC.
As a part of our accountability action, we also have been conducting mission trips to Indonesia since 2010. The purpose of the trip is to conduct a survey on the specific mission project locations ensuring that all funds and support are accounted and received. The nature of this mission trip is voluntary and all expenses for the trip will have to be paid individually. For more information on this trip and fundraising, contact Ryan Klement (firstname.lastname@example.org)
New Life supports the efforts of missional partners working in East Africa through prayer, practical support and sending short-term teams and church ambassadors to work alongside them.
Why East Africa?
Because of the deep practical issues and needs affecting the region – drought, slavery, economic exploitation, political unrest, and AIDS to name a few – and God’s call to bring justice and healing.
Because of the large numbers of people in the region who have yet to hear the message of Jesus in a life-changing way.
Because of the trips members of the New Life family have taken & the relationships they’ve built in the region, allowing the Holy Spirit to grow a heart for East Africa in the congregation as a whole.
Missional Partners in East Africa
Our Friends in Ethiopia
Through a ministry partnership, which includes the Ethiopia Evangelical Church Mekane Jesus (one of the fastest growing denominations in the world) and World Vision, we want to help bring hope to a poor, unreached, nomadic people group by sharing the gospel and increasing agricultural productivity. (Because of security concerns, we are not able to post the actual name of this group; they refer to themselves as “The Forgotten People.”) A key initiative is the “Keep A Girl In School” program, which is working to prevent girls from dropping out of the project schools in order to generate family income.
Modjo Kebron Orphanage in Ethiopia
This orphanage was founded by New Life member Yewbi Wondimu in 2005 through the conversion of her childhood home. It provides a safe and structured environment for 15 boys & girls, largely orphans of the AIDS crisis. Living in the midst of a primarily Islamic community, they attend a local school and receive additional lessons in English and the Bible through volunteers from a local church. Please pray for the children and their caregivers, and that doors might be opened for more children to be accommodated and more volunteers to be able to give of their finances, time and talents.
The East Africa Partnership
Begun in 1994, this partnership is dedicated to improving the lives of people in East Africa by providing: clean water, care and education for orphaned, destitute and vulnerable children; accessible, affordable, quality healthcare; improvements in agriculture, sustenance, and nutrition; and any other service that may improve the physical, social and spiritual well-being of the people in East Africa.
Members in Mission
Members-in-Missions (MiM) is all about furthering New Life’s rich legacy as a “sending” church. We develop and send financial support, prayer and encouragement to our church members and some long-time friends who go out vocationally to serve on the mission field – some locally, some globally. Click here for more information.
Words of Hope
Another global missional partner, Words of Hope communicates the gospel by radio in over 30 languages worldwide including Arabic, Albanian, Turkish and Farsi. Why radio? It’s universally available; reaches large numbers of people, including those who are illiterate or living in “closed” areas of the world; and, as a word-centered medium, is uniquely suitable for conveying the message of the Bible and its implications for all of life.
Change for Christ Offerings
Every 5th Sunday of the year, you have the opportunity to pray and give as we collect a special offering (spare change, cash and checks) for our global and local outreach initiatives.
