Support, Care & Prayer
Do you have a prayer request you’d like to submit?
GriefShare is a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close to them. For information, please contact Sharun Carlson at 562.404.1993.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. Meets 7:30-9:30 on Wednesdays and Fridays in B206. For more information contact 562-989-7697 or visit www.lacoaa.org.
A church is a good place to come and seek counsel. God is the healer and He frequently uses those you are in community with to facilitate the healing process. Have a conversation with your Life Group Facilitator or Ministering Elder to see if they can be of assistance with a listening ear or give you some practical suggestions for your next step. We want to help you as you pursue your healing journey.
Your Ministering Elder or Life Group Facilitator provide visitation to members and friends of our church who are homebound or confined to convalescent homes. If you or a loved one needs this kind of care, feel free to contact your Ministering Elder or Life Group Facilitator to see how they might be able to help you.
In case of emergencies, please call the office for additional support and we’ll help you with your next step 562-924-4466. Please call the office if you would like to have a Ministering Elder.
Each family has either a Ministering Elder or will be in a Life Group as their primary care and support process through the church. Your Ministering Elder will be praying for you and connecting with you every four to six weeks to inquire how you are doing and if there is anything your Ministering Elder Group can pray for or help with.

Meals and other practical support
If you have a temporary need after a hospitalization, injury or other illness, we may be able to help you by providing a cooked meal or providing support in other practical ways. Share your need with your Life Group Facilitator or with your Ministering Elder and they will assist in connecting you with others who may be able to help on short-term basis as volunteers are available.
Below you will find a number of different opportunities to receive prayer for something you are struggling with right now:
Sunday Morning Prayer
Opportunities exist on Sunday morning to approach a prayer team member at the end of the service to present your personal need for prayer. Trained people will pray for your need right on the spot so that you leave knowing that your need has been prayed for.
Get Connected Card
You can fill out a Get Connected card to share your need. Click here or fill one out on Sunday. It’s important that you indicate if you want this information shared with others and if so, we will share in the Community of Care. If you prefer your request to be private, we just share with the prayer team.

Jesus talked more about money than heaven, so it obviously is an important subject. At New Life we’re committed to the financial health of our church. Below are resources that are available to help you maintain a healthy spiritual view of your financial life.
Throughout the year we offer workshops for Financial Planning. We also offer Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey. This life-changing program teaches you how to achieve your financial goals by eliminating debt, saving for the future and giving like never before. Financial Peace University consists of a 9-week video curriculum taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey. The program is highly entertaining with a unique combination of humor, informative financial advice and biblical messages. The course fee is $89 per family and covers all materials plus membership to FPU.
Sometimes there’s more month than money, but members of the New Life family can get help through those tough times. Benevolence assistance is available (as funding permits). Currently, most of our assistance is directed to people who call NLCC their home. Contact us at 562-924-4466 and request to speak with someone about your situation and to get an application.
