About New Life
New Life Community Church is a part of the Reformed Church in America. It’s the oldest Protestant denomination with a continuous ministry in the United States.
The Reformed Church takes its name from the great Protestant Reformation of the 16th Century when the church became “Reformed according to the Word of God.”
New Life is a community church which includes people from many different denominational and ethnic backgrounds. We have been a part of the Artesia/Cerritos community for over 80 years. Most of our present buildings were built in 1972.
New Life is located right in the middle of several cities in Southern California. One of the blessings we have is that we share in a diverse culture who wants to know Jesus and serve others. Our logo is a classic icon of Artesia, representing our desire to partner with the rich history of our neighbors as God brings New Life to the city. We are staff led, while governed by a Board. We are Protestant in worship, welcoming to everyone, yet convinced by Scripture to maintain the distinctiveness of the Christian faith and good news of Jesus.
